He earned the $1,000 cash scholarship after competing in different youth competitions throughout the week. The contests are open to all Michigan 4-H and FFA Youth and include knowledge and skills competitions related to Dairy Quiz Bowl, Dairy Cattle Judging, Dairy Cattle Showmanship and Dairy Farm Management.

Cumulative scores are added with the highest total points earning the scholarship sponsored by the Michigan Dairy Expo and Purebred Dairy Cattle Association of Michigan.

Kramer is a sophomore at Ubly Community School and the son of Terry and Connie Kramer of Harbor Beach. He is a member of the Helena Helpers 4-H Club and the Ubly FFA. The Ubly FFA Advisor is Melissa Cantrell.

The award was presented to Keith by Joe Domecq, Ph.D., Chairman of the Michigan Dairy Expo as part of the 50 Year Anniversary Celebration of the Michigan Dairy Memorial and Scholarship Program.
