MSU Extension to host farm bill update

The Huron County MSU Extension will host an informational program about the new farm bill and potential implications on local farm land and rental values. The program will be on Wednesday, July 30 at the Huron County Farm Bureau Building, 711 N. Van Dyke, Bad Axe and will run from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bob Battel, Huron County MSU Extension field crops educator will cover the commodity title, the ACRE program, the conservation title, the CSP program and other topics. Dennis Stein, District Farm Management educator will discuss implications of the farm bill on local farm land and rental prices.

There will be a $5 registration fee payable on-site. Register by Monday, July 28 by calling (989) 269-9949, extension 602.
