If you are a bargain hunter, you should visit Caseville this Memorial Day weekend. Organizers say the village streets will become a bargain hunter's dream.

"Last year we had about 24 houses signed up and on the map of garage sales," said Chamber of Commerce employee Ann Clark. "Every year the event seems to get bigger."

The Trash and Treasure weekend is scheduled for May 25 through May 28.

"We are having four days this year instead of the two," adds Clark. "We extended the sales for people who are here for the entire weekend."

The garage sales are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Then on Saturday and Sunday the Caseville Schools are hosting the Poor Man's Promotions Craft Show.

"Anything you can imagine will be here," said organizer Marlene Tibbits. "We have furniture, shirts and yard items for sale."

Tibbits said the craft show normally has about 75 crafters set up.

"We always have a good bunch of crafters show up," she said.

On Sunday, May 27, The River's Edge Church is hosting a BBQ Chicken meal at the Caseville Roller Rink.

The dinner includes half of a chicken, baked beans, Cole slaw, a roll and dessert all for only $8. The BBQ chicken is served from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. or until gone, whichever comes first.

Also on Sunday, May 27, the Caseville Historical Society is having an Ice Cream Social at Maccabees Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost for each sundae is $3.50 and proceeds go back to the Caseville Historical Society.
