Bad Axe girls finished first and the Hatchet boys second at a quad meet last week, which also included Brown City, Cass City and Mayville.
For the girls, first places finishers included Danay Majeski in the 100 hurdles (16.81) and 300 hurdles (50.95); Kristi Essenmacher in the 100 (13.47) and 200 (28.10); the 400 relay team of Sam Janik, Samantha Breault, Kim Schenk and Kristi Essenmacher (53.31); the 800 relay team of Sam Janik, Samantha Breault, Majeski and Kati Essenmacher (1:55.39); the 1,600 relay team of Kristi Essenmacher, Kati Essenmacher, Majeski and Schenk (4:32.09); and the 3,200 relay team of Kati Essenmacher, Cassie Hanson, Breann Schramski and Maggie Cramer (11:43.80).
On the boys side, Allen Ireland earned wins in the 100 (11.39) and 200 (23.70).
