There will be live Celtic Music from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Tropical Music from 10 a.m. to noon and African Drum Music and Dancers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The African Drum and Dancers will perform three half-hour shows.

Local favorites, "The Buggs," will be "roaming" around the entire area performing "musical treats" along with some trivia challenges to spectators. Raymond and Susan Bugg are a husband and wife duet from Harbor Beach who perform their musical ministry at many assisted-living facilities and community events throughout Huron County. Raymond plays guitar and Susan performs and provides an atmosphere of joy with an assortment of costumes and props.

With a fun-filled day, everyone will develop some hunger feelings. To take care of those needs, there is a vast variety of refreshment and food items available around the Laker School, both inside and outside from concession stands and vendors.

When outside, make sure and seek out the Food and Entertainment Tent.

Capt. John's Smokehouse will be at the tent serving up their great pulled-pork sandwiches coming fresh off the hog being roasted there at the festival grounds.

There will also be Brazilian Spring Water. For every purchase, they will make a donation which helps the rain forest.

The Ubly Boosters will be serving up some cool and refreshing slushes.

Inside the school will be John Blair and Ron Hoffman serving up some homemade ice cream. Not only can you enjoy this treat, but you can also watch and talk about how it's made. They might even let you help do it!

Also inside, the Laker School Athletic Boosters will be serving up an assortment of concession stand style foods and refreshments. Here you will be able to get pizza, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, chips, cookies, candy.

Back out on the grounds will be a variety of displays and educational sorts for everyone.

Tuscola County Educational Coordinator Beth Tetil will be on hand to answer questions and you can learn about the Tuscola County Recycling Facility. The facility is a drop-off facility for recycling products and open to the public Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month.

Local freelance writer and nature photographer Bill Diller, who has a passionate love of nature, will be on hand to show some of his work and talk to everyone with the common interest. Being born and raised in Huron County gives this man the opportunity for finding the natural beauty of Huron County and the State of Michigan; a grand opportunity for him to practice his craft. Diller writes feature stories for newspapers and magazines, however, his first love is nature photography. Over the years he has had numerous photos, text or combinations of the two in local, regional and national publications. In addition, his photos have been used as covers for regional telephone and travel directories. For the last few years, Diller has been showing his nature photography at art and craft shows throughout the state.

The Detroit Science Center's mission is to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists and problem solvers. They will be having a three-hole mini-golf course called Mull-Again's that is made from reused, recycled and reduced materials. They will demonstrate the wonderful things everyone can do with materials instead of wasting them.

Terra Bella, which is Latin for "Beautiful Earth," will be selling items that are Biodegradable or which replace products that would otherwise go into landfills. A few of the products include: string shopping bags, Bio-bags, homemade laundry detergent kits and modern cloth diapers.

Program Source International is active in preserving Michigan History with a focus on the Thumb Region. Huron County natives Al and David Eichler have produced 25 video documentaries about town histories and places in the region, also covering current events. The Eichlers will be on hand with their historical photos and a video display gallery.

The most unique portable rock climbing wall today will be ready for those desiring a challenge. This is a sculptured waterfall and imbedded tree formation. The rock climbing wall is a 25-foot high lightweight fiberglass structure containing five climbing faces, compared to the three or four sides of a standard rock climbing wall. Those who wish to take the challenge will use a harness and begin the climb using handholds while secured with a safety line that is self-belaying.

Come celebrate "Embracing Our Earth IV" with clay and discover the secrets of clay. Join in the fun of learning the eight steps of making clay. Everyone will have the opportunity to make-and-take a small project home with them. Midland artist and ceramic instructor Dianna Cole of the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art Studio Schools will be hosting a workshop during the event. She will cover the natural elements of different types of clay and then discuss the different artistic designs and pieces made with clay. The half hour workshops will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. demonstrating the eight step process of making clay and everyone is invited and welcome to attend.

There are many more displays and vendors attending this great event; please see the special section "Embracing Our Earth IV" for more details.

"Embracing Our Earth IV" is going to be a fun-filled educational day for kids and adults of all ages that no one will want to miss. "See you there."
