On Wed. Mar. 14, the Michigan State Police responded to a call at the Hessell residence in Ubly but soon turned the investigation over to the Ubly Police due to the fact the home was within Ubly Village limits.

The next day (Mar. 15) Sherry Hessell was found dead in the same residence.

According to the Ubly Police Chief an autopsy was performed on the couple on Friday, Mar. 16.

"The autopsy was performed and nothing suspicious was found," said Ubly Police Chief Matt Kuhl. "It was incomplete so we're waiting for the toxicology reportsÉit (the toxicology report) should take about 10 days to two weeks."

"We'll have a press release after the toxicology reports come back," adds Huron County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Gaertner. "When we have more information we'll release it."
